Full Replacement OE Towing Mirrors
The Clearview® Chevrolet Silverado Towing Mirror is a genuine Silverado Mirror, adapted for Right Hand Drive towing.
In Australia, we drive on the left side of the road in right-hand drive vehicles. A right-hand drive vehicle is defined as having at least one steering control to the right of the vehicle’s longitudinal centre line.
Is there a difference between the mirrors of RHD vs LHD vehicles?
Yes. The angle that the mirror is mounted to the car is different for RHD vs LHD vehicles. On a RHD vehicle, if you look closely, the passenger side is angled very slightly further in towards the car. This is more noticeable if you have power fold mirrors, as the passenger side folds in fully before the driver’s side does.
Imported left-hand drive vehicle mirrors can’t always be adjusted to get the correct view from the right-hand driver’s seat. Even at the end of its adjustment, the driver’s mirror can’t be positioned far enough ‘out’ and shows too much of the side of the car and not enough of the road. The passenger mirror is the reverse – too much road and not enough car side.
