Manage your tyre pressure in all conditions
The Clearview Tyre Spider® is designed to speed up, simplify and reduce time bending down and kneeling at each tyre, while managing tyre pressures. Whether you’re driving on sand or through muddy/soft tracks, the Tyre Spider® will quickly and easily assist you to evenly adjust the tyre pressures of your vehicle, caravan, or trailer.
Designed to work independently OR attached to your vehicle’s air-compressor, the Tyre Spider® has four main functions:
The Tyre Spider® allows you to easily stagger tyre pressures across any combination of tyres via the 4 controllable inlet valves and digital pressure gauge.
Features include:
The Tyre Spider® can be used in almost any situation!
An easy to read, LED back-lit digital display for day or night use
Includes 4 individual valves, one for each tyre and 1 main valve.
Each kit contains two 5 metre hoses and two 8 metre hoses for simple application on the longest of wheel-based vehicles.
Tyre Inflation – with air compressor
Connect the Tyre spider® up to a maximum of 4 tyres on your vehicle or caravan at the same time. Ensuring the main valve is closed, open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin pressure equalisation. Once equalised, close the individual valves, connect your air-compressor and re-open all 5 valves and turn on your air-compressor to begin inflating all four tyres at the same time. If you require staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved and continue inflating the remaining tyres.
***This will reduce the overall load on the air-compressor, reduce overall inflation time and reduce the chances of your air compressor overheating.
Tyre Inflation – without air compressor
Connect the Tyre spider® up to a maximum of 4 tyres on your vehicle or caravan at the same time. Ensuring the main valve is closed, open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin sharing air across all 4 tyres. This will utilise the air in the inflated tyres to re-inflate the deflated tyres. If you require staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved and continue inflating the remaining tyres.
Tyre Deflation
Connect the Tyre spider® up to a maximum of 4 tyres on your vehicle or caravan at the same time. Ensuring the main valve is closed, open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin tyre pressure equalisation. This will equalise and balance the pressure across all 4 tyres. Once equalised, open the main valve and the pressure of all 4 tyres will decrease at the same time. If you require staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved to allow deflation of the remaining tyres.
Tyre Equalisation
Connect the Tyre spider® up to a maximum of 4 tyres on your vehicle or caravan at the same time. Ensuring the main valve is closed, open the 4 individual valve hoses to begin tyre pressure equalisation. This will equalise and balance the pressure across all 4 tyres. Close any individual valves if you require different pressure balance from front to back and once completed close the main valve.
Maintaining proper tyre pressure is important for several reasons. First, it improves fuel efficiency by reducing rolling resistance. Second, it helps to ensure even tread wear and extends the life of your tyres. Third, it enhances vehicle safety by optimizing traction and stability, especially during emergency maneuvers. Lastly, maintaining optimal tyre pressure can help prevent tire blowouts, which can be dangerous and costly.
Overall, it is essential to manage tyre pressure to promote maximum tyre performance, driving safety, and overall vehicle efficiency.
Having the correct tyre pressure is crucial when off-roading because it affects your vehicle’s traction, stability, and handling. When you reduce your tyre pressure, the tyre’s contact patch becomes larger, allowing for better grip on rough terrain. This also increases the vehicle’s stability by providing more cushioning for the suspension. In addition, the lower tyre pressure allows for more efficient use of the tyre’s tread, which helps to prevent slippage and reduces the risk of getting stuck. Therefore, it is essential to maintain the correct tyre pressure when off-roading to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
