  • Heavy-Duty Towbar: Connect your trailer safely with a towbar rated for your specific weight requirements. A premium, properly fitted hitch stops trailer sway and keeps your load steady over rough terrain.
  • Electric Brake Controller: Heavy trailers need their own braking power. A cabin-mounted electric brake controller activates the trailer brakes the moment you press your pedal. This legal requirement ensures smooth stops and prevents the trailer from pushing your ute forward.
  • Anderson Plug: Keep your caravan fridge cold and your batteries fully charged on the move. An Anderson plug delivers a safe, high-amp power connection straight from your Navara’s alternator to your trailer.
  • UHF Radio: Stay connected on the highway. A UHF radio lets you talk to truck drivers, listen for hazard warnings, or guide your partner while backing into a tight campsite.
  • Suspension Upgrades: A heavy tow ball weight pushes your rear bumper down and lifts your front wheels. Upgrading to stiffer rear springs or installing airbags levels your ute. This restores proper steering control and keeps your headlights aimed safely at the road.

Watch Your Payload and Weight Limits
It is easy to get carried away adding bull bars, winches, roof racks, and drawer systems to your new ute. Remember that every single item you bolt on reduces your available payload.
Your payload is the absolute maximum weight your truck can carry. This includes your passengers, fuel, accessories, and the downward push of your trailer on the tow ball. Overloading your truck beyond its Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) or rear axle limit is illegal. It voids your insurance and causes severe damage to your chassis and drivetrain.
If your essential gear and trailer push you past the factory limits, you will need a GVM upgrade. This involves installing specialised, heavy-duty suspension parts to legally increase your carrying capacity.

Mirror features for the D27 Navara include:

360 Degree Camera – This refers to the parking system that provides a complete 360-degree view around your vehicle. The OE camera must be removed from the OE Mirror and installed into your new Clearview Towing Mirrors. Only available for those vehicles with pre-existing 360 cameras as a feature. *Options may vary depending on the make, model, and year of the vehicle.

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) – This feature is operated through ultrasonic or radar sensors on the vehicle’s rear and side. A small indication light will appear to alert you when another vehicle is within your blind spot. There may also be a beeping/audible alert, or the steering wheel may induce vibration, or a light shake will occur.

Power-fold – A quick press of the Power-Fold button brings your Clearview Tow Mirrors in towards the vehicle, while another press returns them to position. The Power-Fold function matches your OE capability, allowing control through the key fob, touch-handle panel, interior button, and certain automatic actions depending on the vehicle. Only suitable for vehicles with factory power-fold. Vehicle-specific variations apply.

Indicators/Turn Signal – Lights located on the side of the Mirror that will flash to signal your intentions to swap lanes or turn. Our Tow Mirrors include a clear indicator lens with an amber LED light. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors come with a CAT5 indicator as standard. 

Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment – Electrical Vertical and Horizontal adjustments to suit your preferred driving angles. Clearview supports this feature throughout our range. Single Mirror models can offer electric adjustments of the mirror. The double mirror models can only offer top glass mirror electric adjustments, the lower bottom glass is a manual adjustment.

Heat – A feature that demists and defogs your mirror glass when it’s frosty and icy. Operating off the same de-misting system as your vehicle.

All these features are only available for those vehicles that contain these pre-existing features such as 360-Degree Camera, Blind Spot Monitoring, Power-Fold, Indicators, Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment, and Heat. The Mirror alone cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.

Both Clearview Next Gen and Compact Mirrors extend up to 180 mm, giving you improved side visibility when towing. Each mirror features three adjustable driving positions:

  • Standard / Non-Extended Position – sits flush with your vehicle for everyday driving, maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive look.

  • First Extended Position – a moderate extension, ideal for towing smaller trailers or caravans, providing extra side coverage without feeling too wide.

  • Second Extended Position – the full 180 mm extension, perfect for larger loads, horse floats, or whenever maximum side visibility is needed.

The mirrors are easy to adjust manually — simply slide them out by hand to switch between positions in seconds. Both styles are designed to stay securely in place once extended, ensuring stability even at highway speeds.

The Next Gen mirrors feature a taller mirror head, making them ideal for frequent towing or heavier loads. The Compact mirrors offer a lower-profile option, providing extra side visibility while keeping the original mirror’s tidy appearance for daily driving.
