The Classic range is made for drivers who want the towing essentials done properly.
You get the trusted Clearview towing mirror design, strong road stability, extended rear vision, and a vehicle-specific replacement fit in a focused, practical range.
When you’re towing something wider than your vehicle, factory mirrors often don’t give you enough vision down the sides of your caravan, trailer, boat, or horse float.
Clearview Classic Towing Mirrors extend outward to improve your rear view, helping you see more of what’s beside and behind your load.
That extra visibility can make a real difference when you’re:
Classic is the Clearview towing mirror for drivers who want dependable performance in a simpler package.
It keeps the focus on what matters most:
You choose the configuration that suits your vehicle and towing needs, without stepping up to premium features you may not use.
Clearview Classic Towing Mirrors are ideal for drivers who tow:
They’re also a strong choice if you want a tough, practical towing mirror for touring, regional driving, 4WD travel, and long-distance road trips across Australia.
Extendable visibility when towing
Classic Towing Mirrors extend up to 103mm, helping you see past wider caravans, trailers, boats, and horse floats.
This improved field of vision helps reduce blind spots and gives you more confidence when checking traffic, changing lanes, reversing, and positioning your load.
Two driving positions
The telescopic arm design gives you two practical positions:
Standard Driving Position: Use the retracted position for everyday driving when you are not towing.
Extended Towing Position: Extend the mirrors outward when towing to improve visibility down the sides of your load.
This makes Classic easy to live with day to day while still giving you the extra view you need when it matters.
Dual mirror design
Classic Towing Mirrors use a dual mirror setup to support a wider, more useful field of view.
Large flat top mirror
The large flat mirror provides a clear, accurate view of distance behind your vehicle. This helps with reversing, aligning your trailer, and checking traffic while towing.
Smaller convex bottom mirror
The lower convex mirror helps expand your peripheral view, making it easier to monitor blind spots and nearby vehicles.
Together, the two mirrors give you a more complete view around your vehicle and load.
Strong double-arm construction
The double-arm design helps keep the mirror steady while driving.
This added stability helps reduce vibration at highway speeds, on rougher roads, and when passing large trucks.
A steadier mirror means a clearer view, which supports safer and more confident towing.
Built tough for Australian conditions
Classic Towing Mirrors are designed for Australian towing, touring, and road conditions.
Strong steel arms and durable construction help the mirrors handle long-distance trips, corrugated roads, changing weather, and the demands of regular towing.
Whether you’re heading up the coast, crossing regional highways, or preparing for an outback trip, The Clearview Classic is built to go the distance.
Folds inward or outward when struck
Clearview Towing Mirrors are designed to fold inward or outward if struck during tight manoeuvres, off-road travel, or parking.
They lock into three pre-set pivot positions:
This design helps protect the mirror and vehicle during everyday use and tight driving situations.
Direct-replacement fit
Classic Towing Mirrors are designed as true replacement mirrors for compatible vehicles.
They mount securely in the same position as your original mirrors and are engineered to suit specific vehicles. Where applicable, they use the original mounting points, fittings, and wiring.
That means a cleaner fit, a stronger finish, and less guesswork during installation.
Straightforward installation
Classic Towing Mirrors are designed with installation in mind.
For many compatible vehicles, they offer a straightforward replacement process suited to confident DIY installers.
Installation requirements can vary by vehicle, so always check the installation instructions for your specific model before fitting.
Practical configuration choices
The Classic range is available in focused configurations so you can choose the mirror that suits your vehicle and towing needs.
Depending on your vehicle, options may include:

Practical Options Without Overcomplication
Classic is designed to keep things simple. The range is available in a durable black finish and offers practical feature options depending on your vehicle’s original mirror setup.
A durable black finish gives Classic a clean, practical look that suits a wide range of vehicles.
Some Classic models are available with indicators, depending on your vehicle.
Indicator models include a clear indicator lens with amber LED lights to help signal lane changes and turns.
Depending on your vehicle, Classic may be available with electric or manual mirror adjustment.
On dual mirror models, the larger top mirror may support electric adjustment where compatible. The lower convex mirror is manually adjusted.
Important Fitment and Feature Notes
Mirror features depend on your vehicle’s original factory mirror setup.
Clearview Towing Mirrors cannot add features that your vehicle does not already support.
For example:
Clearview offers different towing mirror ranges to suit different drivers, vehicles, and feature needs.

Classic gives you the key towing benefits Clearview is known for, in a focused and practical package.
Some Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series vehicles require extra fitment information due to the way factory mirrors are positioned.
The existing positions of the mirror mounting holes on the doors of the LC79 vary as the standard mirrors are installed after the vehicle lands in Australia. When the factory mirror is removed, it leaves two holes in the side of the door panel. Our Clearview Towing Mirror base mounts onto these same holes, but due to their varying positions on individual vehicles, our mounting holes are elongated to allow for the variance. This can also mean that the overall position of the mirror on the door can be different by vehicle.
If you’re comparing the Classic Towing Mirror base with the Compact and Next Gen 70 Series Towing Mirrors, here’s what you need to know:
The Classic Towing Mirror base features a rectangular design that suits the larger mirror. This is different from the “hourglass” shape found on the Compact and Next Gen 70 Series Towing Mirror bases, which have a more slimline, contoured aesthetic.
While these differences are visual, they reflect the distinct design preferences tailored for your Toyota 70 Series Mirrors. Whether you favour the streamlined curves of the hourglass shape or the bold simplicity of the Classic rectangular base, each is designed to suit the unique aesthetics of your preferred Towing Mirror.
Designed for straightforward fitting
Clearview Classic Towing Mirrors are designed as vehicle-specific replacement mirrors.
For many compatible vehicles, installation is straightforward for a confident DIY installer.
Because fitment can vary by vehicle, always read the installation instructions before starting.
We recommend that you keep your original factory mirrors as back up should something happen to one of your Clearview Mirrors, necessitating the need to return it to us for repairs.
This will allow your vehicle to remain roadworthy whilst waiting on your repaired Clearview mirror.
Regular routine maintenance will help to ensure continued smooth operation and longevity of your Clearview Towing Mirrors.
Maintenance information can also be found in the Installation Instructions booklet provided with the towing mirrors.
Clearview Towing Mirrors are built to last, but real-world driving can be tough.
If a component is damaged or worn, access to spare parts can help you repair rather than replace the entire mirror.
That support helps protect your investment and keeps you towing with confidence.
