Small in Size, Big in Vision.
The Clearview® Compact Mirror is our newest towing mirror design.
Telescopic 2-stage extension provides 3 towing positions to choose from, allowing you to see down the side of your van when towing and won’t retract when driving at high speeds or when passing large trucks.
A large convex single mirror diminishes objects it reflects, allowing the driver to have a wide field similar to an OEM mirror, making it perfect for smaller vehicles with service bodies.
For the newest Toyota MY24 LC76, LC78 & LC79 Series, our special edition Clearview Compact Towing Mirrors ensure compliance with ADR standards. Featuring a single, flat mirror on the driver’s side, and a single convex mirror on the passenger’s side, these mirrors maintain their good looks whilst complying with the ADRs.
Single mirror models are recommended for vehicles with large canopies or for towing smaller vans. Clearview Compact models are still suitable (and popular) for towing 20ft vans, but will not offer the equivalent visibility that our Next Gen mirrors offer.
This is the mirror for you if you want a sleek, compact style while still ensuring wide visibility and safety.

*Please note that mirror features specified in the above mirror descriptions are the only features included in the mirror. Any features not specified are not included in the Towing Mirror. Please compare our listed features with your standard vehicle mirror to understand what features you may be missing in your new Clearview mirror. If Powerfold, Camera or auto reverse-dip functionality is not specified in our mirror description, then we do not have it available for your model at this time.
Towing mirror features are only available for vehicles with those pre-existing features as standard (ie heat, powerfold, BSM etc) – the mirror alone cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.
To remain ADR compliant, if your standard mirrors have Indicators or Blind Spot Monitoring functionality in them, then your towing mirrors also need to have these features.
Clearview Towing mirrors do not extend or retract electrically.
Clearview Mirrors not only offer safety and legal compliance but also contribute to a confident and stress-free towing experience. Whether navigating busy highways or traversing rural landscapes, Clearview provides the best towing mirrors to ensure you can focus on the adventure ahead.
Technology Meets Towing
Clearview Accessories® has been at the helm of innovative towing solutions since 2006. Our pursuit of integrating advanced vehicle technology into our towing mirrors has made them an indispensable asset for modern touring vehicles. With features such as Outside Air Temperature (OAT) Sensors, GPS, AM-FM radio, Blindspot Monitoring Systems, and 360-degree Cameras being incorporated into side mirrors, Clearview ensures that these technologies are not lost when you opt for our towing mirrors.
Double Arm Design Benefits
The double arm design of Clearview towing mirrors provides superior stability and adjustability. This innovative design minimises vibrations, even at high speeds or on rough terrains, ensuring that the driver has a clear and steady view at all times. The added support from the dual arms also allows for larger mirror surfaces, which enhances visibility and safety when towing or manoeuvring large vehicles. Clearview’s design remains the preferred choice for those seeking the utmost in mirror stability and reliability.
Spare Parts Availability
Clearview provides easy access to a complete range of spare parts, ensuring that users can quickly and efficiently replace components as needed. This extensive availability of spare parts contributes to the longevity and reliability of our mirrors, making them a preferred choice.
Importance of our patented, secondary mount design
When the time came to design our new LC300 Towing mirrors, we decided to start from scratch! By doing so, we were able to look past the existing factory mounting point and develop a product that far surpassed any expectations on what a Towing Mirror could do!
Our unique secondary mount design accounts for the 300 Series’ lightweight aluminum door skin and provides multiple secure and sturdy attachment points for our mirrors. This ensures that the mirrors stay in place without damaging the aluminium door skin, no matter the terrain or towing conditions, giving you the peace of mind to focus on your journey.
Our complete redesign of the LandCruiser 300 Series side mirror mounting position allowed us to identify the optimum location for the new Towing Mirrors to be installed to provide the best visibility when in the extended towing position.
We needed to move the standard mounting point forward to make it easier to see out of while towing. If we’d simply reinforced the existing mounting point and installed our mirrors there, the driver would be constantly leaning backwards and turning their head to see anything out of the extended towing mirrors.
The existing positions of the mirror mounting holes on the doors of the LC79 vary as the standard mirrors are installed after the vehicle lands in Australia. When the factory mirror is removed, it leaves two holes in the side of the door panel. Our Clearview Towing Mirror base mounts onto these same holes, but due to their varying positions on individual vehicles, our mounting holes are elongated to allow for the variance. This can also mean that the overall position of the mirror on the door can be different by vehicle.
Toyota LandCruiser Troop Carriers are designed with vent windows (triangular windows). Clearview Towing Mirrors can be installed onto Troop Carriers, but due to the mounting position of the mirrors overlapping the glass, the vent windows will no longer be operational. New mounting holes will need to be drilled in the side of the door panels to support the mirror base.

Whether you’re a seasoned road-tripper, a caravanner, or a hardworking tradie, Clearview Towing Mirrors transcend mere accessories to become an essential component of vehicular safety.
Standard side mirrors often fall short when it comes to providing adequate vision around your vehicle when towing wide loads or with a large canopy installed. The last thing any driver wants is limited visibility, which is where Clearview Extendable Mirrors make the difference. These aren’t just ordinary mirrors – they’re engineered to provide extended vision, essential for safe towing and reversing, but also offer a greater awareness of your surroundings, a crucial aspect for overtaking. In Australia, good rear visibility isn’t just about convenience – it’s a matter of safety and a legal requirement which mandates towing mirrors for anything that exceeds the width of your vehicle.
