The Next Generation Towing Mirrors
Clearview Next Gen Towing Mirrors are built for drivers who want more from their towing mirrors. With a twin mirror design, up to 180mm extension, OEM-style replacement fit, and premium feature compatibility depending on your vehicle, Next Gen mirrors give you a clearer, safer view when towing.
Designed for caravans, trailers, boats, horse floats, and larger vans, Next Gen tow mirrors help you see more of what is beside and behind your setup. That means more confidence when changing lanes, reversing, overtaking, merging, and manoeuvering in tight spaces.
When you are not towing, the mirrors retract to a practical driving position for everyday use. When you are towing, they extend outward to improve your line of sight past wider loads.
Factory side mirrors are not always enough when your caravan, trailer, or float is wider than your vehicle. Next Gen Towing Mirrors are designed to improve your line of sight past wider loads, helping you drive, reverse, merge, overtake, and change lanes with more confidence.
Why drivers choose Next Gen Towing Mirrors
Next Gen Towing Mirrors are made for the moments where better visibility makes all the difference.
Use them when you need to:
When you are not towing, the mirrors sit in a standard driving position. When you need more vision, extend them outward to suit your setup.
Two mirrors. Two views. One stronger towing setup.
The Next Gen mirror head uses a practical twin mirror layout: a large flat mirror on top and a smaller convex mirror underneath.
Together, they help you see both distance and surrounding traffic more clearly.
Large Flat Top Mirror
The large upper mirror uses a 1:1 flat mirror view, giving you a more accurate reflection of distance behind your vehicle.
This is especially useful when:
Because the flat mirror does not distort distance in the same way as a convex mirror, it gives you a clearer sense of where objects are behind you.
Smaller Convex Bottom Mirror
The lower convex mirror gives you a wider field of view.
This helps you see more of the area beside and behind your vehicle, which can assist with:
The flat top mirror and convex lower mirror work together.
The top mirror helps with distance and accuracy.
The bottom mirror helps with wider awareness.
That combination makes the Next Gen mirror a versatile towing mirror for a wide range of towing setups, from smaller trailers to larger vans.
Next Gen Towing Mirrors are designed to work when you are towing and when you are not.
The telescopic design gives you three practical driving positions, so you can adjust the mirrors to suit your setup.
1. Standard Driving Position
Use this position when you are not towing.
The mirrors sit closer to the vehicle, making them more practical for everyday driving, parking, and tighter spaces.
2. Extended Towing Position
Use this position when towing a load wider than your vehicle.
It gives you better visibility down the sides of your caravan, trailer, boat, or horse float.
3. Fully Extended Towing Position
For larger towing setups, Next Gen mirrors extend up to 180mm.
This added reach helps improve your line of sight past wider loads, making lane changes, reversing, and traffic checks easier to manage.
Premium Feature Compatibility
Modern vehicles often include important technology in their side mirrors. Next Gen Towing Mirrors are designed to support a wide range of factory mirror features, depending on your vehicle’s original setup.
Available feature compatibility may include:
These features vary by make, model, series, variant, and year.
Towing mirror features are only available where the vehicle already has those features as standard. The mirror itself cannot add new functionality that your vehicle does not already support.
If your vehicle has factory mirror features you want to keep, the Next Gen mirror is designed to provide a more integrated towing mirror solution.
Stable Double Arm Design
The Clearview double arm design helps support the mirror head and reduce vibration while driving.
This is especially important when towing, driving at speed, or traveling on rougher roads where a steady view matters.
Spare Parts Availability
Clearview provides easy access to a complete range of spare parts, ensuring that users can quickly and efficiently replace components as needed. This extensive availability of spare parts contributes to the longevity and reliability of our mirrors, making them a preferred choice.
OEM-Style Replacement Fit
Clearview Next Gen Towing Mirrors are not temporary strap-on mirrors.
They are true replacement mirrors designed for compatible vehicles. They mount securely in the same position as your original mirrors and are engineered for specific vehicle applications.
Where applicable, they use the same:
This gives you a cleaner fit, stronger integration, and a mirror that looks like it belongs on the vehicle.

The added support from the dual arms also allows for larger mirror surfaces, which enhances visibility and safety when towing or manoeuvring large vehicles.
Clearview’s design remains the preferred choice for those seeking the utmost in mirror stability and reliability.

Can Next Gen Towing Mirrors keep my factory mirror features?
Depending on your vehicle, yes. Next Gen towing mirrors may support several factory mirror-related features where they are already present on the vehicle.
Do Next Gen mirrors extend and retract electrically?
No. Clearview Towing Mirrors do not extend or retract electrically.
They are manually extended for towing and manually retracted for standard driving.
Do I still need towing mirrors if I have a rear camera?

Yes. When you are not towing, use the standard driving position so the mirrors sit closer to the vehicle.
When you tow, extend them outward for a better line of sight.

Clearview Towing Mirrors® fold inwards or outwards if accidently struck whilst 4WDing or parked. They are designed to lock into place in any of the three pre-set pivot positions;
Clearview® mirrors mount securely in the same position as your original mirrors. They are true replacement mirrors, designed to use the same holes, fittings, and wiring (when applicable) as your original mirrors for plug & play installation.
All Clearview Towing Mirrors® are engineered specifically for each vehicle and feature most of the same functionality as the vehicle’s factory mirrors.
Clearview Towing mirrors do not extend or retract electrically.

We highly recommend keeping your factory mirrors stored in a safe place at home. While Clearview Towing Mirrors are built to last, unexpected damage can happen on and off the road. If one of your new mirrors ever needs to be removed and sent in for repair, your original mirrors serve as a perfect backup. Reinstalling them ensures your vehicle remains roadworthy and completely legal to drive while you wait for your Clearview Mirror to be fixed.
Regular routine maintenance will help to ensure continued smooth operation and longevity of your Clearview Towing Mirrors.
Maintenance information can also be found in the Installation Instructions booklet provided with the towing mirrors.
Your Clearview Towing Mirrors should only be extended when you are Towing a Caravan, horse float or Trailer. (The Towing Mirrors have been certified as complying with requirement of ADR; 14/02, 6/00 and 13/00, when in the fully retracted position, fitted to a standard width/ unmodified vehicle.)
All Clearview Towing Mirrors® have been individually tested by Evo Compliance, a NSW based firm with extensive experience within the automotive field and more than 15 years in automotive/mechanical engineering consulting, vehicle compliance and certification.
