The first models to have stock available will be the LC300 GX & GXL with stock available from the 1st November 2023.
Clearview Towing Mirrors for the VX, Sahara, Sahara ZX and GR Sport models will have stock available from the 1st December 2023.
With no full-replacement towing mirrors available on the market for the 300 Series, we’re preparing for a surge in demand. “Our Melbourne-based assembly-line is already gearing up for the introduction of these new models” shares Mike Cowan, Co-Founder of Clearview Accessories “The new LandCruiser 300 Series mirrors take longer to build, so we’ve had to increase production capacity and line optimisation in the lead up to the official launch to avoid delays on the rest of our mirror production”.
As with everything Clearview does, these new mirrors have re-set the benchmark for Towing Mirrors.
Clearview Towing Mirrors available for the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series will include Next Gen and Compact Towing Mirrors. All standard functionality will carry through to the Clearview Mirrors, except for the auto-dimming function as there is a patent in place for it.

The Next Gen Towing Mirrors are only slightly larger than the Compacts, with Clearview’s popular double mirror design. The Clearview Next Gen & Compact Towing Mirrors are a lot smaller and positioned closer to the vehicle than Clearview’s famous Original Towing Mirrors but extend out just as far when you need them to. In fact, the design is such, that most people don’t realise that towing mirrors are installed on the vehicle until they are in their fully extended position! New LC300 Towing Mirrors are available in a choice of black, chrome and raw finish.

Clearview’s unique, patented, secondary mount design for the LC300 towing mirrors has accounted for the LC300’s lighter-weight Aluminium door skin and inadequate strength of the existing internal bracketry to mount extendable towing mirrors to. We’ve also identified the optimum location for the new Towing Mirrors to be installed to provide best visibility when in the extended towing position.
“When Toyota designed their new Land Cruiser, they weren’t designing it around the aftermarket addition of towing mirrors” shares Jay Praag, Co-Founder of Clearview Accessories, “we knew that we couldn’t simply attach our mirrors to the existing mounting point or position on the door as it just wasn’t going to work. We needed to move the standard mounting point forward to make it easier to see out of while towing. If we’d only reinforced the existing mounting point and installed our mirrors there, the driver would be constantly leaning backwards and turning their head to see anything out of the mirrors. It’s important for us that when someone purchases a Clearview product, that it does what we say it’s going to do and doesn’t cause any damage to the vehicle down the track.”

Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series Towing Mirror Features explained:
Memory function – 3-position driver’s seat memory. On LC300 Sahara and higher models, your preferred driving position (encompassing the position of the driver’s seat, steering wheel and side mirrors) can be entered into the LC300’s computer memory and recalled with the touch of a button. Three different driving positions can be entered into memory.
Auto-tilting function when reversing. On LC300 GXL and higher models, the side mirrors will automatically angle downwards when the vehicle is reversing to provide a better view of the ground.
Puddle Lights. Puddle lights illuminate the ground near the car door, providing visibility of puddles or other obstacles when getting into your vehicle. This feature is available on LC300 GXL and higher models.
360° Camera Provision. 360 degree parking system allowing for extra vision of all angles of the vehicle. Located below the mirror head. Camera must be removed from the OEM mirror and installed into your new Clearview Towing Mirrors. Only available for vehicles with pre-existing 360 camera feature.
Power Fold. Clearview Mirrors will electrically fold towards the body of the vehicle when you lock the vehicle, and electrically return to the driving position when you start the vehicle.
Blind Spot Monitoring.
Blind Spot Monitoring on GXL and higher models, provides a visual alert of a small indication light on the mirror glass to alert the driver when it detects a vehicle driving in or approaching a blind spot.
Heated Mirrors. When the side mirrors are fogged up, they can be cleared by turning on the rear window demister. This feature is available on LC300 GXL and higher models.
Electric Operating Glass. Clearview Mirrors support vertical and horizontal adjustment of the mirror glass to suit your preferred viewing angles. The single mirror model offers electric adjustment of the mirror and the double mirror models allow for the larger top mirror to be electrically adjusted. The bottom mirror is manually adjusted.
Indicators. Lights on the side of the mirror will flash to notify others that you have intentions to change lanes or turn. Clearview indicator mirror models include clear indicator lenses with amber LED lights. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors are a standard CAT5 indicator. CAT6 indicator models are also available to order for vehicles with a GVM upgrade.

With an interior often described as uncomplicated, the LC70’s standard side mirrors are also humble. Thankfully, Clearview Accessories offers an extensive range of options to personalise and upgrade the LandCruiser 70 Series mirrors!
One of Clearview’s all-time best-selling mirrors is the “manual, black” Original Towing Mirror. From $785, it’s an easily justified upgrade on the rather basic metal frame mirrors supplied with the vehicle. The manual adjustment, black mirrors are also available in Clearview’s new Next Gen and Compact Towing Mirror designs, with pricing remaining at $785 for the Compact and $835 for the Next Gen. This option “mirrors” the existing functionality in the vehicle, in a better-looking, more stable and robust mirror design which offers the additional advantage of the extra visibility that Clearview’s towing mirror extension provides.
For those wanting additional features in their towing mirrors, Clearview offers a range of upgrades from adding electric mirror adjustment (+ $150), to adding indicators (+$100) to the mirrors, right through to adding Power Fold (+$670) functionality! Mike Cowan and his son-in-law Jay Praag have turned their small family business into one of Australia’s most respected 4WD and Touring Brands.
Launched in 2006, the first generation of Clearview’s Towing Mirrors, aptly named “Original Towing Mirrors” are still available today, albeit in an updated format. They say that imitation is the best form of flattery, and many cheap copies of Clearview’s Original Towing Mirrors have since entered the market.
Today, Clearview Accessories offers three different Extendable Towing Mirror designs. The new Clearview Next Gen & Compact Towing Mirrors extend out a full 180mm for towing but retract to close to the factory profile of the standard mirrors they replace! When set to their normal driving position, the mirrors remain unobtrusive during your daily commute when you don’t need extended mirrors, or when you need to fit into tight spaces.
The Compact Towing Mirror consists of a single, large convex mirror – just like a factory Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that Clearview’s towing mirror extension provides.
The Next Gen Towing Mirror and its popular twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.

Clearview Towing Mirrors are available for most of the Australian 4wd market, proving once again why they’re the leaders in a market they created. All Clearview towing mirrors are engineered specifically for each vehicle so you can retain most of the functionality of the original mirror. They are true replacement mirrors, designed to use the same holes, fitting and wiring (where applicable) as your original mirrors for plug-and-play installation.
Power-Fold, electric operating glass, integrated LED indicators, heated glass, blind spot monitoring and 360-degree camera integration are all available as options depending on the base vehicle that you’re installing Clearview Mirrors into.
Clearview Accessories has long-standing relationships with the vehicle manufacturers and work closely with them to develop OE Authorised Towing Mirrors. This becomes more important as technology advances and unapproved mirrors can result in fault codes and loss of functionality, such as driver assist functions.

The early mobile phones were larger than they are today. Over the years, their size has reduced as technology has developed and consumer preferences have changed. When we invented the Original Clearview Towing Mirror, there was nothing else available in the market – we created the Towing Mirror market.
Like mobile phones, today, our Towing Mirrors are smaller and include an advanced level of technology incorporated into them. These features can include Outside Air Temperature (OAT) Sensors, GPS, AM-FM, Blindspot Monitoring Systems and 360-degree Cameras.
