Launched in Australia in July 2021, the Isuzu MU‑X RJ (MY21–current) is available in multiple grades, including LS-M, LS-U, and LS-T, all powered by a 3.0‑litre turbo-diesel engine with automatic transmission and either 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains.
In March 2024, Isuzu added a 1.9‑litre turbo-diesel option for the LS-M and LS-U models, providing improved fuel efficiency and a more accessible entry point to the MU‑X lineup.
The MU‑X received a facelift in February 2025, introducing updated styling and a new X-Terrain grade, offering enhanced features and a modern design.
Spacious and versatile, the MU‑X is ideal for carrying passengers, luggage, and gear, with plenty of cargo room to accommodate a chest fridge and fridge slide combination, making it perfect for towing and adventure.
We’re excited to announce that Clearview Towing Mirrors with 360‑Degree Camera Integration are now available to order for the new MY25 and later Isuzu MU‑X LS‑T and X‑Terrain models. Developed in close collaboration with Isuzu, these vehicle-specific towing mirrors are designed for seamless fitment and integration, providing improved visibility and confidence while towing.
Important note: The 360-Degree Camera Provision is only available for MY25+ Isuzu MU-X models fitted with a factory 360-Degree camera. This feature does not add camera functionality on its own.
To identify if your OE Isuzu MU‑X mirrors have the 360‑Degree Camera function, look for small camera lenses integrated into the mirror housing—usually at the bottom or front corner of each mirror. Vehicles equipped with factory 360‑Degree Camera systems will also have the feature active in your infotainment screen settings.
With a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg (model dependent), the Isuzu MU‑X is built for adventure and heavy-duty towing. Whether you’re hauling a trailer, caravan, or horse float, Clearview Towing Mirrors provide enhanced visibility, improved safety, and peace of mind on every journey. Always consult your owner’s manual to confirm your specific towing capacity before setting off.
Clearview offers two mirror styles for the MU‑X: the Next Gen and the Compact, both engineered for everyday driving as well as towing tasks. Each style is designed for seamless fitment, durability in Australian conditions, and maximum rearward visibility, making them the perfect companion for families, tradespeople, and towing enthusiasts alike.
With Clearview Mirrors, you’ll experience clear, unobstructed views of your trailer and surrounding traffic, allowing you to tow confidently and safely on any road or adventure.
Our Compact Towing Mirrors are just like an OE Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that our towing mirror extension provides.
A large convex single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.
Our Next Gen and its twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.
The Next Gen’s dual mirror design provides the best of both worlds; a large flat top mirror helps with reversing into parking spaces or aligning a hitch with a trailer, and the smaller convex mirror provides a better understanding of what’s happening around the vehicle.
*Raw finishes can be painted to any colour by a third-party automotive paint shop at an additional cost (available for Compact and Next Gen only)
If you tow a trailer, caravan, boat, or horse float, towing mirrors are not only safer—they’re often a legal requirement. Australian road rules specify that if your load extends beyond your standard mirrors, you must fit mirrors that allow you to see clearly along the sides of your vehicle. Clearview Mirrors provide better side visibility, reduce blind spots, and make lane changes, reversing, and cornering much safer. Even occasional towing can benefit from this essential upgrade.
No. Clearview Towing Mirrors are a licensed Isuzu accessory, developed and tested in collaboration with Isuzu. Installation of compatible Clearview Mirrors will not void your factory warranty.
NEW – 360 Degree Camera – This refers to the parking system that provides a complete 360-degree view around your vehicle. Our Clearview Mirrors support this functionality on 2025 and later MU‑X models that are already equipped with the factory 360-degree camera feature.
Blind Spot Monitoring – This feature is operated through ultrasonic or radar sensors on the vehicle’s rear and side. A small indication light will appear to alert you when another vehicle is within your blind spot. There may also be a beeping/audible alert, or the steering wheel may induce vibration, or a light shake will occur.
Power-fold – A quick press of the Power-Fold button brings your Clearview Tow Mirrors in towards the vehicle, while another press returns them to position. The Power-Fold function matches your OE capability, allowing control through the key fob, touch-handle panel, interior button, and certain automatic actions depending on the vehicle. Only suitable for vehicles with factory power-fold. Vehicle-specific variations apply.
Indicators – Lights located on the side of the Mirror that will flash to signal your intentions to swap lanes or turn. Our Tow Mirrors include a clear indicator lens with an amber LED light. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors come with a CAT5 indicator as standard.
Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment – Electrical Vertical and Horizontal adjustments to suit your preferred driving angles. Clearview supports this feature throughout our range. Single Mirror models can offer electric adjustments of the mirror. The double mirror models can only offer top glass mirror electric adjustments, the lower bottom glass is a manual adjustment.
Heat – A feature that demists and defogs your mirror glass when it’s frosty and icy. Operating off the same de-misting system as your vehicle.
All these features are only available for those vehicles that contain these pre-existing features such as 360-Degree Camera, Blind Spot Monitoring, Power-Fold, Indicators, Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment, and Heat. The Mirror alone cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.
Both Clearview Next Gen and Compact Mirrors extend up to 180 mm, giving you improved side visibility when towing. Each mirror features three adjustable driving positions:
Standard / Non-Extended Position – sits flush with your vehicle for everyday driving, maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive look.
First Extended Position – a moderate extension, ideal for towing smaller trailers or caravans, providing extra side coverage without feeling too wide.
Second Extended Position – the full 180 mm extension, perfect for larger loads, horse floats, or whenever maximum side visibility is needed.
The mirrors are easy to adjust manually — simply slide them out by hand to switch between positions in seconds. Both styles are designed to stay securely in place once extended, ensuring stability even at highway speeds.
The Next Gen mirrors feature a taller mirror head, making them ideal for frequent towing or heavier loads. The Compact mirrors offer a lower-profile option, providing extra side visibility while keeping the original mirror’s tidy appearance for daily driving.
Look for the Blind Spot Monitoring indicator—usually a small icon on the side mirrors that lights up when a vehicle is detected in your blind spot. You can also check your vehicle’s infotainment system or settings menu, or refer to your owner’s manual to confirm if your MU‑X is equipped with BSM.
The Next Gen and its twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.
Large convex single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.
