Launched in Australia in 2012 and running through to 2019, the Isuzu D-Max (2013–2019) built a strong reputation as a tough, dependable dual-cab ute suited to both work and recreational use. The range was available across multiple grades over its lifecycle, including SX, LS-M, LS-U and LS-Terrain, offering buyers a choice of practical work-focused or more refined touring-oriented variants.

Power was provided by Isuzu’s well-regarded 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, paired with either manual or automatic transmissions and available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains. Known for its durability and straightforward engineering, this powertrain became a standout choice for towing, off-road use and long-term ownership.

Designed with versatility in mind, the 2013–2019 D-Max features a functional tub and cabin layout with ample space for tools, camping equipment and touring accessories. Its practical dimensions make it well suited to canopy setups, including chest fridges and fridge slides, reinforcing its popularity among tradies, tourers and off-road enthusiasts alike.

Our Compact Towing Mirrors are just like an OE Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that our towing mirror extension provides.

A large convex single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.

Next Gen Tow Mirrors

Our Next Gen and its twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.

The Next Gen’s dual mirror design provides the best of both worlds; a large flat top mirror helps with reversing into parking spaces or aligning a hitch with a trailer, and the smaller convex mirror provides a better understanding of what’s happening around the vehicle.

The Classic – The name says it all

Very large top mirror 1:1 ratio. This large, flat mirror reflects true distance for reversing.

The smaller, convex mirror allows the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishes blind spots.

What Mirror Features does the MY12 - 2019 D-Max have?

Power-fold – A quick press of the Power-Fold button brings your Clearview Tow Mirrors in towards the vehicle, while another press returns them to position. The Power-Fold function matches your OE capability, allowing control through the key fob, touch-handle panel, interior button, and certain automatic actions depending on the vehicle. Only suitable for vehicles with factory power-fold. Vehicle-specific variations apply.

Indicators – Lights located on the side of the Mirror that will flash to signal your intentions to swap lanes or turn. Our Tow Mirrors include a clear indicator lens with an amber LED light. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors come with a CAT5 indicator as standard. 

Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment – Electrical Vertical and Horizontal adjustments to suit your preferred driving angles. Clearview supports this feature throughout our range. Single Mirror models can offer electric adjustments of the mirror. The double mirror models can only offer top glass mirror electric adjustments, the lower bottom glass is a manual adjustment.

Mirror features vary depending on your D-Max’s year and model. For this reason, Clearview recommends purchasing mirrors like-for-like, as certain features—such as electric glass adjustment, power-folding, or integrated indicators—are only compatible with vehicles that already have them. Installing Clearview Mirrors will not add new functionality to your ute beyond what your vehicle already supports.

Next Gen & Compact Towing Mirrors

Both Clearview Next Gen and Compact mirrors extend up to 180 mm, giving you improved side visibility when towing. Each mirror features three adjustable driving positions:

Standard / Non-Extended Position – sits flush with your vehicle for everyday driving, maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive look.

First Extended Position – a moderate extension, ideal for towing smaller trailers or caravans, providing extra side coverage without feeling too wide.

Second Extended Position – the full 180 mm extension, perfect for larger loads, horse floats, or whenever maximum side visibility is needed.

The mirrors are easy to adjust manually — simply slide them out by hand to switch between positions in seconds. Both styles are designed to stay securely in place once extended, ensuring stability even at highway speeds.

The Next Gen mirrors feature a taller mirror head, making them ideal for frequent towing or heavier loads. The Compact mirrors offer a lower-profile option, providing extra side visibility while keeping the original mirror’s tidy appearance for daily driving.

 

Classic Towing Mirrors

The Classic mirrors extend up to 103 mm and feature two positions only:

Standard / Non-Extended Position – sits flush with your vehicle for everyday driving.

Full Extension – the mirror slides out to 103 mm, providing extra side visibility for towing trailers, caravans, or horse floats.

Classic mirrors are manually adjustable and lock securely in place, giving a durable, reliable fit while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance.

Drop-Down Side Steps for the D-Max

(Suits 2015 - 2019 only)

Clearview Power Boards are electric side steps that automatically lower to a more accessible height when the door is opened. When the door closes, the Power Board automatically retracts back to the body of the vehicle.

Power Board Features Include:
• A hefty 300kg load capacity per step
• Lowers up to 210mm (from door sill to lowered board)
• 3 mounting brackets on each side providing additional strength and durability for when you need it most.
